S.C. TRAVERTEC S.R.L. is a subsidiary wholly owned by RAIL.ONE with its home office in Neumarkt, Germany. Since 2001, TRAVERTEC has produced main-track sleepers for various applications, as well as turnout sleepers, by the so-called long-bed principle. From its base at Buzau, RAIL.ONE plans to expand and upgrade the Romanian railway infrastructure with future-oriented track solutions such as ballasted track.

In addition to the Romanian rail company CFR, the focus is on additional track-system users such as municipal rail companies and tram operators, in order to provide these operators with advanced rail-line solutions. In the area of installation work for such projects, RAIL.ONE depends on affiliation and joint ventures with national construction companies. The same applies to the application of special track systems: e.g., for installation of ballastless track in tunnels and on bridges.

The first prize awarded by the city of Buzau for outstanding regional business achievements went in 2006 to TRAVERTEC S.R.L. This prize serves to highlight extraordinary business accomplishments, and documents at the same time in the public eye efforts taken to promote business regions.
